Lovely & Lush

Yes, her wedding was in 2014! So why do I keep coming back to it?  Because it is still current, and that is because it’s absolutely timeless.  Lauren Conrad (of LC Lauren Conrad for Kohl’s, fashion designer, blogger, author, and all around lifestyle mogul) was true to herself and style and nailed the wedding thing completely!  It’s guaranteed when she looks back at wedding photos she won’t grimace. When I, on the other hand look back on my wedding day (a mere 11 years ago now), I would change so many things!! But hey, this was pre-Instagram, pre-Pinterest, and pre-Lauren Conrad!!! So, I’ll cut myself some slack. Nonetheless, this is how LC achieved her wedding vision, and so can you!

SENTIMENTALITY

Lauren incorporated an apple and arrow logo (special memories and history with her Husband, William Tell)
into their wedding invitations (custom made by no other than Anna Bond of Rifle Paper Co.).

HISTORY

Vintage inspired brass floral vases, antique crystal glasses, mismatched china, wooden chairs and tables,
a display of vintage handkerchiefs (bridesmaids received their own with their initials engraved),
and a custom wedding dress inspired by Grace Kelly and perfected by Badgley and Mischka.

COMFORT

From the gorgeous assortment of blush bridesmaids dresses to choose from her Paper Crown line,
the Soulmates heel protectors that Lauren gave her Bridesmaids to protect their heels in the grass, the guest gifts,
signature cocktails, to the 50 hand-made apple pies that Lauren made for dessert and the after party
food of mini-grilled cheeses and bite-size chicken and waffles, comfort is King!

BEAUTY

Classically beautiful flowers like garden roses, dahlias, peonies and sweet peas, dusty miller greenery,
dominated the floral arrangements. With the use of a floral arch as the focal point of the ceremony and the
gilded eucalyptus leaves sprinkled down the aisle, this wedding certainly captured and pleased the eyes, and was and will still be on point!

Even though many of us do not have the resources (or the budget) to incorporate everything that Lauren did,
by taking these principals and qualities that Lauren Conrad incorporated into her wedding you can
certainly make your big day unforgettable, special and timeless!
