Love hosting? Or does the thought of it get your anxious?
I mean, we all love hanging out with friends and family in the comfort of our own home. And we all want to satisfy (and perhaps wow) our guests with lovingly-made appetizers, mains, desserts (perhaps crafting our favourite cocktails), but does the whole thought of putting it altogether (while of course cleaning your house as if Martha was coming over) get your heart palpitating so fast that you wish you had a defibulator nearby just in case?
We’ve put together a few ideas and resources (inspired by Sarah Sherman Samuel) to make your entertaining game easier and stronger, while of course incorporating florals and greenery, and specifically our Magnolia Leaf Garland!
Inexpensive and on-trend tableware is next! We’ve mixed and matched black and white Ikea salad and dinner plates. A pop of colour is added with folded linen napkins from WestElm and in-season fresh floral sprigs or greenery (throughout we’ve used burgundy coloured mums and leather ferns, both from our local grocery store, Loblaws). Gold candle holders from CB2 and gold plated flatware finishes off the look and adds a bit of glam (shown: older flatware purchased on Amazon).
Last but not least a simple naked cake, this one from Cake Star, topped with roses carries the fresh theme straight to the end.
